Meet Simply Rayne, aka Reiana Fernandez, a self-described “Afro-tina.”
Simply Rayne grew up listening to the classics: Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Al Green, Etta James, and Diana Ross. Later, she got into Michael Jackson, Prince, Rihanna, and others. She cites Beyonce as her primary influence.
Only twenty years old, Simply Rayne has already accomplished a lifetime’s worth of successes. In 2013, she dropped her debut single. In 2016, hooked up with The KlubJumpers, two producers with Gold and Platinum Records, as well as beau coup hits on Billboard’s chart.
She’s shared the stage with Steve Aoki, Lil Wayne, Migos, Lakeside, G-Eazy, and Khalid, along with performing on live TV and at the Mala Luna Music Festival. She appears in the forthcoming rom-com movie The Margarita Man.
