AEW All Out proved to be a game-changing pay-per-view for All Elite Wrestling with some major debuts.
Daniel Bryan, a former five-time world champion in WWE, and Adam Cole, the longest reigning NXT champion ever, both entered at the climax of the show to leave many calling it the best end to a pay-per-view ever.
Kenny Omega retained his AEW World title against Christian in the main event and he began telling the crowd no one could stop him and continued beating up Christian, much to the Chicago crowd’s dismay.
After Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus were beaten down trying to make the save, Adam Cole’s new music hit.
He stood in front of The Elite and seemed ready to confront them until Cole turned his attention to Jungle Boy and landed a superkick.
Cole then announced his re-alignment with The Elite.
Of course, before he went to WWE, Cole was a member of The Bullet Club in Ring of Honor and Japan. He was actually poisoned to death on Being The Elite as to amusingly explain his departure, but now he’s back with his friends - for now.
Just as Omega was about to sign off the show, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan in WWE) arrived to stand with Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus and Christian.
Omega ran for the hills, but the Young Bucks and The Good Brothers caught a beating so the babyfaces could stand tall.
Speaking at a media scrum after the event, Danielson said it was after the Brodie Lee tribute show he really started thinking about moving.
According to Fightful, he said: "So that was when I really started kind of thinking about my contract coming up," Bryan said of the Brodie Lee Tribute Show. “But the final decision, honestly, was just like, I started thinking about things - WWE was so gracious with me as far as the offer that they gave me.
“They were gonna let me go do some other stuff on the outside, but, I hate to say this, Vince sometimes - he and I have a great relationship. I love him, I do - sometimes he's overprotective of me. I want to be able to push my limits.
“That's one of the things that I love about this, is like the physicality of what we do out there and being able to push my limits and being able to do that here in a safe manner is one of the things that really drew me here.
“Then there's also, I just think there's an excitement, you know what I mean? There's just an excitement. You see the crowd. I mean I think you all see it, probably were all out there and you felt it.
“You felt how excited people are about this product and it feels vibrant. Even just watching it through a TV screen in a trailer. I'm sitting there going, ‘God this is awesome. I want to be a part of this’.
“So that was it. Although it was - I don't know, I really battled back and forth because there's a lot of people there that I consider family, that actually are legitimately my family, and you know, people that I love there so it was a really tough decision."
Bryan’s contract expired after WrestleMania 37, while Adam Cole’s expired just after SummerSlam two weeks ago, but he told Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful neither he or WWE realised it was expiring when it was.
"Yeah, so, funny enough, believe it or not, I was also surprised. Yeah, I was under the impression that it was like six months later. So it was a surprise to me. It was a surprise to them.
“It was public knowledge for a lot of people that I had signed a little extension, I was in the middle of a really serious angle with Kyle O'Reilly, which was very important to me. He's one of my best friends in the entire world.
“Then after that is when stuff kind of opened up for me, but very surprising to me. It was just as surprising to me."
AEW have amassed an incredible roster and have all the momentum in the professional wrestling world right now.
