    Allie Quigley Facts

  • She has often stated that her biggest inspiration to pursue basketball as a career was her father who passed away in 1993 when she was just 7 years old.
  • While in high school, she was named a WBCA (Women’s Basketball Coaches Association) All-American and had competed in the WBCA High School All-America game in 2004. When she left the DePaul University in 2008, she was one of just 4 players to have scored more than 2,000 points in her career for the DePaul Blue Demons women’s basketball team.
  • She obtained Hungarian citizenship in 2012 after she had spent 3 years in succession in the country. This made her eligible to represent Hungary at the international level. In the 2009–10 season, she won both the Hungarian Championship and the Hungarian Cup with the now-defunct club Pécs 2010.
  • She won the ‘WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year’ award in both 2014 and 2015. The annual award was instituted in the WNBA to honor the league’s most valuable ‘sixth woman’ (substitute). For the former year, it was in recognition of her performances that had helped Chicago Sky reach the WNBA Finals for the first time.
  • When she won the ‘All-Star Weekend Three-Point Contest’ in 2018, she had scored 29 points which was a then-record score across both the NBA and the WNBA.
